“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:11-13 ESV
Rev. M. Brandon Pelfrey, MS, MDIV, NCC, LCPC
Counselor and Founder of Shepherd’s Cove Counseling
As a 7 year Active Duty Navy Veteran, I faced a lot of really hard questions during deployments, such as “Where is God?” or “How can He be good?” Down dark roads, the Light of Christ showed the way, and from challenging questions came an unchallengeable relationship with the Lord.
That time and preparation in my own life began a discipleship journey to share with others in challenging populations. I’ve worked in wilderness therapy, wilderness ministry, wilderness men’s ministry, taught special education in public schools, facilitated marriage retreats and counseling, developed and implemented a Veteran counseling service, and for the past 3 years have served as a mental health counselor in the state prison system. It is now my joy to walk in the calling of serving the great needs of ministry leaders and “Wolfhounds,” through online counseling sessions.
